The problem can be solved by using OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/) instead of using the PlusNet DNS. (That's what I am currently doing)

The fifth isn't in the Fleet. Ergo, <i>Galactica</i>'s not the "Final Cylon".

The Final Cylon is somewhere outside of the Fleet. Either on the baseship, or elsewhere in the galaxy.

I read an interesting post on another website: the commenter claimed that Galactica itself was the final cylon.

Whereas initially this seems deeply implausible (and dissatisfactory), it fits oddly well with the evidence. The music was, according to Tygh, coming from the ship. More than one episode has dwelled on how baseships and raiders are alive. D'Anna apologized to one of the final five -- it may have been for firing on Galactica (a lot). And Galactica would awaken in the sense described by the hybrid.

I'm just saying...

When D'Anna was resurrected and she turned to Boomer and said theres an 8, isn't she suppose to be on the other side and then she made the comment - maybe she sees something shiny.....

Any ideas as to what this may have meant?

One thing to note: D'Anna tells Galactica that there are four of the five on the ship. That rules out most of the main characters except Roslin, Baltar, Admiral Adama, Agathon, Paolo "Redwing" McKay and Diana "Hardball" Seelix.

My guesses would be Roslin or Adama based off of this fact--because otherwise why wouldn't D'Anna tell them? I think Agathon would be more likely to accept it, given the baby, and the other characters simply aren't important enough.

While I haven't read all the posts I agreed with Madcapfeline and William Booth (though not for the same reason about the wine glass).
I believe it's Ellen Tigh. There's a lot evidence. I'll take em one at time. “And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering.” Holds some water. She is not in the fleet, she can't come to the music. If feel these are important factors, if not wouldn't 5th come to the music as well if the 5th were in the fleet. She was the first suspect as cylon, and we never truly know from Baltar's answer, but she was cleared in everyone else's mind by him. Why won't Baltar say anything? same reason as not ratting out Col. Tigh and the Chief, which he likely would have run tests on. Her death left us off guard as the possible 5th. We never did find out how the guard and prisoner on Cloud 9, if she were a cylon it wouldn't be too difficult. She is in season 1, hint from Bradley Thompson that it's likely a someone from season 1. Looking at the last supper picture, if she were in Judas the traitor spot (as compared with Da Vinci's) she be hovering over Lee maybe flirting with him, as he is trying to ignore her, to the left Col. Tigh looking dead on at Lee with his stare. The trailer for the second half of the season at the end you can hear Col. Tigh voice saying your the 5th, that would be fitting if it were Ellen. As for it needing to be a major character like Apollo, Starbuck, Ros, etc... I believe Ellen would have a lot of shock value especially to Col. Tigh (kind of reminds me of Jimmy Stewart's character in Vertigo) plus many clues don't add up for most of the major characters or would be too tacky.
My two cents.
