Yes, we know, why the frak are we doing that for?

Well, it’s a means of sharing BSG/Caprica/Galactica 1980 news, content, and all sorts of media to people on a pre-existing service. Stuff that we really don’t want to cover on the Battlestar Wiki blog, since the blog itself is meant for more “serious” business. It also allows other people on the Tumblr network to share our stuff, because we’re all into that Web 2.0 viral felgercarb.

Also, we’ll likely allow people to post their own BSG related stuff on there, as so long as it keeps in line with our ultimate objective: to cover everything canonical and official in the BSG universes.

I was reading Mike Hinman’s SyFy Portal website and came across the fact that they are doing their annual SyFy Genre Awards.

Now they have a “long list” of their nominees for various categories—best actor, best actress, best episode, best whatevah—and Battlestar Wiki has made it on their long list of nominees, under the “Best Genre Website” category, along with at least 20 other sites.

However, the Facebook portal has been very “secret” until a few days ago. To join that group, you can go here. We installed a new animated bot on the English wiki only at this point in time. The [[User:ArchiveBot|Archive Bot]] will auto-archive pages depending on the settings you set forth, however an OS upgrade is required. This is being looked into, until then, the bot will remain in development status.
