In the event that this hasn’t been noticed yet, I’d just like to point out that the English Battlestar Wiki is eighteen articles away from 2,500.
Additionally, our second-largest Wiki, the German Battlestar Wiki is closing on 49 articles shy of its 500th article as well.
While I’m one to place emphasis on quality over quantity, I’d like to point out that at least 95% of the articles on both wikis are of quality. Admittedly, some are better than others and have been recognized as such, but still, overall, both Wikis are strong in the quality field: which grows with the quantity of offerings on both wikis.
I can only speak for myself when I say I’m very pleased with the way things have turned out; in my wildest dreams, I’ve never thought we’d be this successful and be (as of this writing) the 61,000th largest website on the net, rivaling such great scifi websites as TrekToday, TrekWeb, BattlestarGalactica.com, LostPedia.com and, hell, even the “Wikipedia” killer, Citizendium.
Jumpin’ Lords of Kobol. Wow-wee!
So say we all!
P.S. Yeah, I rounded the number slightly. Sue me.
P.S.S. (12:47 PM ET) Yeah, apparently the number is 59,834; the number when I made this blog post was 61,230-something. Who knew?

Rounded? You rounded it down, is what you did. Currently, quantcast.com has us at rank 59,834, which means we’re one of the 60,000 largest websites
Actually, the number was 61,230-something when I wrote the post.
The fact that it went down less than 12 hours after I posted that means someone is looking out for us. ROFL.
Still, a damn fine showing if you’d ask me.
And we have almost 3k attacks vis the blog! Hooray!
heh.
At least it’s in the thousands. ROFL.
2,499 now, one more to go…
Better not waste it on something stupid like a category…
Can’t happen. Only pages in the main namespace count towards the article count, and redirects and pages without any internal links are also excluded.
As of right now, the 2499th article is Omega (RH).
