There are quite a few Think Tank proposals that need some love. Check them out here, discuss whether or not you like them, or even vote for those that are in voting status.

The project page for our External Portals project is now online.

Feel free to discuss other social networks that Battlestar Wiki should have a presence on here.

So say we all!

Based on the votes from the Think Tank proposal on the subject, I’ve decided to do a soft-launch of our MySpace portal.

The location: http://www.myspace.com/battlestarwiki

Official launch will take place on Friday, June 8th.

To ensure a successful official “hard” launch, we’re encouraging visitors with MySpace accounts to put us in their “Top Friends” lists on their MySpace page.

And for those of you who don’t particularly care for MySpace, Mercifull is working on a Battlestar Wiki group on Facebook which we hope to launch soon.

We hope to expand on other social networks as well, so if you have suggestions as to what those are, please feel free to suggest them as responses to this blog post.

So say we all!

We’re roughly 3 days away from implementing our presence on MySpace.

If you haven’t voted in support or opposition of this idea yet, your chance is still here. Voting will end on the 7th.

So vote we all!

The Feminist SF blog makes mention of Sarah Toton’s comments regarding the Wiki and the representation of female contributors on the Wiki, as well as begs the question of “what the BSG guys had done to act jerky when women contributed”.

Regardless of my thoughts on those comments, I did want to let everyone know about them so that we can continue constructive discussions on this topic.

Just to let everyone know, any account created on any of the wikis that has never made an edit will be expunged sometime Friday, June 8th in order to free up unused user names and to ensure that the actual number of contributors is accurate.

Anyone who edits sporadically or is an inactive editor, but has not made an edit recently, has nothing to worry about. (Just to keep things in perspective, we’ve done this before more than a year ago, so it’s nothing new.)

Any comments, questions, or concerns should be made either at the Wikipedians’ Quorum or as a response to this blog post.

So say we all!
