For those of you wanting to meet me in person (although the Lords of Kobol would only know why), I will be attending the Comic Con convention in San Diego, California in July. I will be present for the Wednesday night preview on July 25th, in addition to the 3 day stint from July 26th to the 29th.
While I will be working the Battlestar Fan Club table, in addition to other scifi related projects, I will be glad to meet any of the contributors and visitors to the site to hear their gripes, complaints, and criticisms compliments. ![]()
If you plan on attending as well, please feel free to let me know so that I can be on the lookout for you, and maybe organize something later on down the line.
Are you a graphic designer who wants to show off their skills?
If so, we are looking for another graphics designer, with the following skill sets:
Send all queries and samples of your work to joe@frakmedia.net. Applicants have to be at least 18 years of age because of liability issues.
To all MySpace members who have placed Battlestar Wiki as their Top Friend, please message us via MySpace so that we can place you on our top friends, thus returning the favor!

With some help from the author of the bot, it is now working, however it runs locally on my laptop until the server can be upgraded with a newer version of Redhat. So you may submit your page to the bot, however be sure when you fill in your
maxarchivesize
variable that you make the K or MB uppercase. Otherwise you will get one thread per archive and you could end up with over 143 archives with one thread a piece. Also any long talk pages that exist on the wiki, please go ahead and place the code to archive the page — it would help out a lot! Thanks and Enjoy!
Just a quick update: We presently have 101 friends on MySpace (though I’m sure there’s at least 10 times that number) and 49 members in our Facebook group.
Please continue to spread the word, friend us, and even message us!
So friend we all!
Thanks to the Think Tank proposal that people voted on, our official News Policy has passed and is now implemented.
Thanks to everyone who voted and voiced their opinions on the subject matter!
So say we all!
Just an FYI, our News Policy proposal is about to see an end in voting on Thursday.
There are three others currently in voting status, with voting to end on Sunday, June 17th.
So vote we all!
You can, that is if you want it to run on the Battlestar Wiki. Today I submitted the family file for the “Python Wikipedia Robot Framework” project which allows Python scripts to run as automated tasks on the wiki. As these things are semi or fully automatic, they fall under the bot project and are subject to approval before getting a “bot flag”. The “bot flag” allows the username “changes” not shown by default. This policy covers all wikis, and not just the English wiki.
A bot can be designed just for one language or several. And there are many types of lanuguages bots can be code in. They most common is perl and python, however bots can be coded out of anything.
Have an idea for a bot? Bring it up on the bot page.
We recently opened the MySpace portal. However, the Facebook portal has been very “secret” until a few days ago. To join that group, you can go here. We installed a new animated bot on the English wiki only at this point in time. The Archive Bot will auto-archive pages depending on the settings you set forth, however an OS upgrade is required. This is being looked into, until then, the bot will remain in development status.
A few proposals are up for general voting, which include:
Feel free to vote and opine!
On all wikis have been deleted. If you created one, and never used it, it does not exist anymore. You must re-create it.
