Whatever the fans may want, sometimes you gotta do like the old saying “Always leave ‘em wanting more” Besides, maybe there will be another miniseries in the offing, or… dare I say it… a…MOVIE!

However, Battlestar Wiki doesn’t take official positions on fan campaigns, unless the community sees fit to have an official position for or against them.

We’d be happy to consider linking to your Facebook group, but as for supporting it, again, that’s up to the community — and, honestly, outside the scope of what we’re trying to achieve here.

Now I’ll speak as as “Joe the fan”… On a personal level, I respect the wishes of the producers and creator. It’s a creative decision to end the show at the fourth season, and it’s one I happen to agree with. There are too many shows that run on for far too long (Stargate SG-1) or are killed before the story ends (Firefly, Farscape, Odyssey 5); to have a show end on its own merits is a blessing unto itself, in my view. Few shows get that chance, and I’d rather see the story end while still being the top dog, than being a dog whimpering around waiting to be put out of its misery.

That’s the only purpose of the group – get as many members as poss to show how strong the feeling is.

I hope you don’t think this is a dumb idea. Apologies if so. There’s very little on UK television worth watching!

That said, there’s still a lot about Cylon society that hasn’t been revealed yet, nor have they really dug in on what the Colonials did to the Cylons to deserve such hate, which I personally find to be a wellspring of dramatic stories.

Trust me, BSG has a bright future in made-for-TV movies, maybe even a theatrical release. And how about the idea of a SFX-remastered Original Series (a la the very cool remastered Star Trek original episodes) or even a continuation of TOS Galactica? You never know.
