Right now, Battlestar Wiki is fully operational, with the exception of squid and @battlestarwiki.org e-mail mailboxes.

Of course, if you run across any issues, please report them here.

Thanks!

I was trying to create a thumbnail for the featured article and it’s blowing an error when I try to make the image the usual 100px wide thumbnail.

“Error creating thumbnail: /home/bsgwiki/w/bin/ulimit-tvf.sh: line 5: /usr/bin/convert: No such file or directory”

Hopefully that’ll be an easy fix… (Copied from admin noticeboard)

I was one of those people who (for whatever reason - firewall?) was seeing “no hotlinking” signs where pictures should be, despite viewing the normal site. That issue had been fixed before, but now it’s back.

    Thanks!

JJ — Joe will have to do that one. I have no idea what he did.

    Steel — Coverter installed. :-)

Once squid is installed, the “no hotlinking” problem on pictures on the Wiki pages should go away.

The reason this occurs is because you are likely accessing the site through some sort of proxy server, which caches the site in some way that makes it appear that hotlinking is taking place.

Do you have Zonealarm or some other software firewall? Perhaps you have some form of hardware firewall turned on, on your router?

Joe - if you can take a look @ convert problem also. You fixed it last time. ;-)

I fixed the convert problem already. I also took the liberty of updating ImageMagick, as (for some reason) the old one installed on the server didn’t have JPEG support. Which I found odd.
