I have noticed the problem on the wiki. I thought I fixed this before I left for work. I will tend to this later this evening. For those who have my pager number, please contact me ASAP if there is any change. This only seems to be affecting the English wiki, which is very odd to me.

From Google:

A time of the year during which clocks are set forward one hour. Widely used around the world in summer so that evenings have more daylight than they would otherwise.

“Why do we need to know this Shane?” Well, it so happens that the US Congress passed a law in an Energy bill that said “We want to change the DST to an earlier date so we can see more sunlight because the earth is rotating and the weather patterns are so messed up”. In other words, we are losing a hour of sleep and an hour of heating bills. (It used to be on the first Sunday of April at 2am in the United States.)

We are sure that this will have little effect on your DVRs in recording Battlestar, but just double and triple check before Sunday!

For more information, you can read about it on Wikipedia and the law that changed it.

We have recently received word via the SciFi forums, that the Finale, Crossroads, Part II, will run 5 to 15 mintues longer when it airs. Be sure to set your DVR or VCR to record the extra time.

From SciFi.com Forums:

NEWS FLASH! The Sunday, March 25, season finale of Battlestar
Galactica
will run five minutes longer than usual. If you plan on
recording the episode, set your DVR or VCR to continue for five to 10
minutes after the end of the hour so you don’t miss anything!

With that in mind, the article when it comes times to be locked, will be locked to 1:30am EST on March 25th, 2007.

As mentioned by Shane on the Case Orange Blog there was a short amount of downtime earlier after the episode Maelstrom aired.

There were approx 7,000 simultaneous connections to the wiki and despite all our efforts with squid and a separate server we still couldn’t cope, even SciFi went down for a little while too.

But its all back up now so people are free to add/edit articles again.
