Attack of the Spamlons

Cylon SpammerWe’ve been discovered. The Cylons have finally found our quaint little blog and have attempted to post their propaganda in the form of comment spam. Using the excellent modification to wordpress, SpamKarma2, we have managed to intercept these communications and stop them from being shown to our citizens. A few managed to get through the other day which I manually removed but so far it seems to be holding up ok. If you notice spam anywhere which hasn’t been auto deleted then please let one of the [[Battlestar_Wiki:Blog_Project|blog admins]] know. Thanks.

    Damn the tylium refinery for leaking the radiation… They try to strike now they lead the Cylons to us. Frak them. Frak them to hell. :-)

    Blog firewallThere are times when intarweb2.0 is really cool that any Colonial citizen can create a blog or forum with just a click of a mouse, unfortunatly Cylons love these sites because they can create thousands of spam filled pages in mere seconds using the 0005 models. Other Cylons then post the urls to thousands of other sites in an attempt to gain hits. Gaeta’s firewall is holding up for now but I dont think they will ever give up. :(
